Mass Media Essay
Model Answer 1:
In today’s modern society mass media communication plays an essential role in shaping up of individual’s opinions & characters. Mass media includes television, advertising, the Internet, newspapers, magazines, and so forth. Some experts are of the view that media reflects and creates the culture. I support this opinion. Mass media has a significant impact on our society. In this essay, I will further discuss the influence of mass media on society and the general public.
Whatever we see or hear through mass media is thought to be correct. People believe what they view on television or read in the newspaper without verifying the correctness of news. For example: In 2008, an 8-year-old article of ‘financially moribund United Airlines filing for bankruptcy’ in Bloomberg, a premier name in finance news left everyone in jitters. United Airlines’s stock nosedived by 75 percent. The airline was doing very well before this old news cropped up. The trading was halted for an hour to bring everything on track. It is a perfect example of what unauthentic story can do.
The general public gets more influenced by mass media than they think. We often see advertisements of products promising slim and fit body which gives unrealistic goals to young women. They take the women in ads as their quixotic role models. It shows how mass media influences the young generation. We just believe what is shown is advertisement is best for us and thronged the stores to purchase without actually knowing the product.
In the end, I want to conclude that the statement given in the question seems to be correct as it has been proven from many studies that people get easily influenced by the mass media.

In our recent era, the mass media plays a very vital role in our lives through different ways. Any communication media especially TV, radio and newspaper directly affect our whole community and change our behaviours and way of thinking. Some schools of thoughts are in favour of this statement while others do not agree with it. This essay will narrate that how mass media is destroying our whole generation and in what ways it is affecting the lives of people.
Although, we remain update due to this media that what’s going on in all over the world but this is only the one positive side. On the other hand, broadcasting of unethical things, every time the news about the fight and different problems all over the world and inappropriate stream of various programs which create differences between peoples like, political and religion programs etc. are destroying our unity and love between the community.
Secondly, mass media are a critical tool to set the mind of people mind according to some influential people of the community, and we consider them our heroes and try to follow them. For example, the advertising is the best example of this scenario because we try to do that thing what we see or listen to media.

The significance of Mass media which was always debatable has now become more controversial. The substantial influence of mass media has sparked a new controversy over the potential impact of this trend on society. Some researchers have agreed that mass media has become the vital part of human life. I agree with this statement but it will be further discussed before reaching the reasoned conclusion.
At the outset, there are numerous reasons why the mass media has become an intrinsic segment of modern society but the most conspicuous one stems from the fact that mass media provides the information by diverse resources such as Television, Radio, Advertisements and the internet. As an illustration, the recent research in this area invariably reveals that mass media has become a good source of business in the whole world therefore the government should encourage the involvement of mass media in different business sectors.
Moreover, the mass media has also negative impacts on society such as the rich people try to misuse the media resources for their own benefits so the corruption is a main negative factor of media resources.
To put it in a nutshell, it can be concluded that government should eradicate the negative reforms of media aspects so that the society can get benefits from mass media resources.
Various sources of information, such as the television, radio and the newspaper provide us with day to day updates with what goes on around the world. In many cases, articles we read or hear from such outlets tend to affect how we portray certain things. These thoughts can be positive or negative but to some, such sources are heavily scrutinised before opinions are created.
People tend to always believe what they read from the media. Since such media is usually heavily government controlled, most regard articles portrayed in them to be reliable. As such, news highlighted in such avenues tend to be adopted by the vast majority without much thought. For example, if a country were to wage war on another nation, usually media from the initiating country will try to portray the targeted country in a negative light. Another clear example is North Korea. The regime controls the state’s media to such a large extent that the whole country is almost brainwashed and the people are misinformed with propaganda on a daily basis. They are left with no choice but to adapt and act accordingly for fear of their lives.
For some, however, reading the news is always done with reserved judgement. For example, they might prefer to read articles with a pinch of salt and do research on their own to find out the truth before drawing conclusions to situations being addressed. Such individuals do not let the general media control their actions or thoughts and are independent with their opinions.
In conclusion, the media can affect thoughts and behaviour under certain conditions but some remain unaffected and only choose to believe what they want to.
It is an irrefutable fact that in this contemporary world, mass media playing a vital role in the society. In this scenario, how mass media like news paper, TV, radio, etc., effecting society is the matter of discussion. therefore, I will give my opinion before giving an appropriate conclusion to the rubric.
There are various factors which could be supporting Mass media having positive impact on society. First and foremost, ease of communication could be a noteworthy point to be considered. It is generally seen that there is a chance to spread the news and articles through the face book or television will reach the society within the hours. For example, according to the recent article In The Age revels that 90% of the news spreading through the media easily. In addition, mass media is convenient to advertise a product could be another substantial factor to substantiate aforementioned topic.
Despite having positive impact on society, mass media having some negative impact on society, which could not be neglect without careful consideration. spreading a fake news could be a single most detrimental factor to be considered. It ma defined as most of the news channels spreading fake news for ratings. For example, in the year of 2012 a famous news channel in USA convey a wrong news about terrorists attack in Texas city. Moreover, most of the students addicting to the social media could be another essential factor to be support above mentioned cope.
In the end, Indeed, according to my opinion mass media having lot of impacts on society; however, need to consider negative impacts of mass media without neglect.
